Flamingos Kid friendly Vacations

We give this a 10/10 for a 4-star stay. For it being a facility that is not strictly a hotel, we were amazed by the experience. We must open with that the staff did a phenomenal job with communicating early and even assisting with surprising my girlfriend with flowers, a snoopy gift item, and wine. They also facilitated excursion reservations and helped us select them. They were extremely detailed and answered literally all of my questions. The building itself was very well maintained and the staff was always greeting us with a smile and always happy to help. Booking through Expedia gives you daily room service which was a great plus. The minor details that impacted score were that when we arrived, although we notified when we would be arriving, we waited about 20min for someone to greet us and walk us to our room. Once checked in and settling in for the night, we found some trash under our nightstand while plugging in our charger. The door handle to the bathroom wasn’t fully secured and slid off when going to close the door. And finally, one of the reclining chairs was not operational. Our experience at the rooftop pool was both extraordinary but also felt restricted. They have a strict policy that is predatory in nature. I want to be very clear about my choice of words- you are not allowed to bring ANY outside food or beverages… not even the welcome water bottles or previously purchased bottles from the same bar. All of our drinks tasted good but poured with a light hand.

The best thing about this place is the location. I was on the 8th floor, closer to the beach and the view was amazing. The room was pretty good but it basically sleeps 4 even though it said 5. I thought there might be a pull out couch or something. 3 ppl had to squish into the King sized bed. One of the bathrooms looked older and had black mold all around the edges of the tub. Certain areas in the room just smelled like sweat which was off putting. The A/C in the smaller room would sometimes smell like it was passing by the sewer or something and I had to turn it off. They forgot to replenish the mini bar on a few occasions, but after a call to front desk, that was easily fixed. Also, on our last night there, no one came for room service. We were pretty disappointed. We again had to call front desk and someone came while we were in the room just to fix the beds. The buffet was a let down for me. Most of the food was very delicious but they wouldn't switch it up. It felt like 75% of the food was the same thing every day. Some desserts were delicious and others fell short. Their rice pudding was actually pretty disgusting. Don't know why it would be served. The staff were friendly and helpful. The activity staff were also great. The shows they put on at 9 were good, too. We enjoyed that very much. We tried one of the restaurants that you need reservations for and it was delicious. Over all the property is not bad. 11 pesos/person to ride the bus into town. Beds were comfy.

The trip was wonderful food at the place is outstanding

We had an amazing time at Grand Palladium Punta de Mita for our very first family vacation. The resort was absolutely beautiful, incredibly clean, and very well maintained. The grounds were gorgeous, and we loved seeing the wildlife throughout the property, including iguanas, coatis, and even armadillos. The resort was also very kid-friendly, which made the experience even better for us. Our 2-year-old had such a great time, and seeing how much fun our little one had made the trip even more special. We especially want to thank Josue and Priscilla for their incredible hospitality. They were welcoming, attentive, and extremely helpful throughout our stay. Anytime we needed anything, they were there to assist and made sure our family was well taken care of. They truly went above and beyond and made us feel like we didn’t have to worry about a thing. For our first family vacation, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We made so many wonderful memories and would absolutely return to Grand Palladium Punta de Mita!

Staff is super friendly and helpful until it’s late in the evening. When you just get ignored. Reservations are pointless because they don’t pay attention to detail on the time slots. And the worse part is that there was money missing from my room and when I brought it up to management their response was why didn’t you use the safe. As it’s something that should be expected at a high end resort.

The place overall is great! Only gripes are it's a bit of a slog to get a surfboard to the good spot, like 4 blocks of walking. Also my room didn't have a microwave or toaster those items would have been appreciated!
