I booked it because of the glowing reviews albeit some concerns about the rooms but here's what I found when I got there: Cons: Booked a standard room, it's old, had a weird smell and clearly needs some updates. Not enough plugs so you either choose between more light or charging your phone The service hours are terrible. Buffet closes at 2230 and the bar is only until 2330. There was one night when the bar closed the same time as the buffet. There's no room service so you can't order food late night either. The buffet food was ok, nothing extraordinary. There's only 1 buffet restaurant and there's a line up to get in during breakfast. I booked Venezia restaurant for dinner and it was very bad I ended up going to the buffet right after. I didn't even bother booking the Mexican one, I was done with it. Staff at reception looked like they did not want to be there, mostly unhelpful. Pros: Staff at the buffet, restaurants and bar were very friendly and helpful despite the meager offerings. Housekeeping was also great. They kept our room very clean and tidy. Overall, I could have gone to Riu (price was comparable when I booked it). The resort is old and almost crumbling (you can see the dire state of their rooms, roof and restaurants). I wouldn't stay here again.

-Staff were excellent -Food was good -Plenty of palapas and areas to sit on the beach -Poor sound proofing in the rooms. We could hear our neighbours and people outside our room throughout day/night. Overall we had a great time at this resort

What I liked was the beds, amazing. The pool area, beautiful. Beach entrance in the back gorgeous . The views, perfect. The all you can drink . What I dislike , Bathrooms are horrible and old. The buffet food is not eatable. The elevator is kinda slow and old.

The property was old but ok. Front desk staff rude and unhelpful. Activities guys really nice. Food was appalling. All 3 of us got food poisoning and one ended up in super expensive hospital because of it, resort didn’t care at all. Would recommend stay far away from this place if you want to eat ever.

Great service and friendly staff. Food was ok. 2 a la carte restaurants, but can only make reservations at 5pm the day before. Pool large and clean. Could always find a beach palapa during the day. Poolside chairs went by 8:30am. Rooms are old but kept very clean by the maids. Our shuttle did not come until 3pm but we were allowed to keep bracelets on until then.

If you have kids/teenagers, this is a great place to go! My son met up with other teens and had a great time doing all of the planned daily activities, from darts, to water polo, to volleyball, to playing soccer on their grass field, to table tennis, to a variety of games. He also spent lots of time in the water riding the waves on boogie boards, to playing poker, to eating with his new friends. It is such a safe property, is small in relation to the others around it, and has a real family feel. The recreation staff, especially Nilson, are fantastic and really engage the teens. I took daily walks down the beach and hung out by the pool reading. The nightly shows were great; from Circus, to Magic, to Latin dance, to movie night. Let them know if you have a dietary issue (I am allergic to dairy, so they brought in some soy milk for me, which a lady who arrived the day before I left was very happy to hear, as her whole family were dairy free). I ate a lot of tacos, which I built myself at their taco b
