Split Hill Island Fishing Vacations

Internet was good. Suite was spacious. Shower and clothing closet on a seperate floor from bedroom. Ceiling fan was quiet and finctioning. A/C also quiet and functioning. Deck fan operates on a chain that was to short. Hammock on the deck takes alot of space where some decent seating and a small table might be. Great view of the park and street activity. Location is not know to Uber. Early morning coffee is available. Paid for morning breakfast with room online ... used 1 of 2 breakfasts, no credit offered. Breakfast quality is reasonable and tasted good. Staff are probably best asset at this property. They try very hard to make guests welcome amd comfortable. I did not feel like was being worked for an expected tip at all.

Hotel was beautiful and in the most convenient location. LOts of food options as here were multiple restaurants on site. Breakfast was very good. Check-in was a bit lacking, however. We paid for a Queen Jr. Suite but were initially given a small interior room with 2 double beds, not realizing at first that this was not the room we booked. But then a family of 5 adults walked into our room about an hour later as they were also assigned to our room an given keys! How does this happen??? We were ultimately moved to our correct jr suite room (no assistance to move our belongings as a bellhop never arrived), nor any type of accommodation for being walked in on. Even a complimentary drink ticket would have been a nice offer. COnsidered a spa treatment but the spa was really nothing more than a couple of small uninspriring treatment rooms and a small hot sauna. No relaxation area. Rooftop pool was ok but always crowded with so many kids! Only about 10 lounge chairs available and was always taken (or at least had belongings on them). On the plus side, location was excellent. Water pressure and temperature in shower was also great. A/C worked really well, even with the high temps and humidity. Also loved the live music in the lobby which seemed to always be playing.

Please change the information associated with this Hotel. Deposit is $300.00, not $200.00. There is no laundry facility; only laundry service is available, which is quite inconvenient. Very few people are bilingual. The breakfast is the same every day. Toiletries and towels were supplied sparingly. The mini fridge did not work, and the replacement did not work as well. Room service is not an option if you want your food at least warm.

In the middle of the old town, lovely rooftop. Beautiful apartment. Easy check in. WhatsApp line is available if anything was needed or if we had questions.

Nice from outsite but needs renovations in the toilets

Brand new property with clean spacious rooms. Ample storage in the room and large bathroom with walk in shower and Molton brown toiletries. There was complimentary bottled water although the tap water is safe to drink, and 6 complimentary coffee pods a day. The yoga instructor was excellent and the yoga was complimentary 9am Thursday to Monday on a roof terrace on the spa. There is a roof terrace bar with amazing views of the surrounding mountains with complimentary drinks for guests each evening 5pm to 7pm which was a really nice touch. All the staff are professional and friendly. The breakfasts are excellent quality and lots of variety. The dinners in the terra vegetarian restaurant and tempo restaurants were excellent quality. We didn’t eat in fuego so can’t comment on that. The food prices are at the higher end but all great quality. We paid around $70-80 for 2 people for 2 courses each and 1 drink each. Our only criticism was the room rate included breakfast however we were charged extra ($30 for 2) for a takeout breakfast on the day we had an early pick up for a trip out with a guide which was a bit steep given the room rate. There were lots of birds in the area and the hotel could attract many to the gardens/grounds if the hummingbird feeders were regularly replenished (they were practically empty our full 5 day stay). A suggestion would be to use up any left over fruit such as papaya or banana to set up a feeding station for wild birds in the hotel gardens

Yes everything met my needs the only thing I didn’t like is that the beds are kinda stiff and I have even seen reviews online about the beds but other than that I enjoyed my time and can’t wait to be back hopefully in December.

The hotel is lovely, it’s a shame that the staff service doesn’t reflect. Our check in process by the check in staff was very cold. I had already messaged the hotel as we had stayed there a few days prior and non of my requests were met. There was a turn down service on our last night there which seemed quite odd as it was offered before. The breakfast was good for a city hotel. Staff have to promoted about hot drinks, the time your drinks arrive you’ve almost finished breakfast. Overall a good stay.

This is a very nice gated country club. It has great amenities and the apartment is in excellent condition and very comfortable. We only had one issue and that was with the dryer not working, which we didn’t discover until we had already washed a load of clothes. There isn’t a lobby that is staffed at this location, and it’s not clear who to contact with issues. The “check-in” occurred at the security gate as you arrive to the country club. But despite the lack of clear instructions you get when booking, I still recommend this place, especially if you have more than a one night stay, and would stay here again.
