(2,634 reviews) It was a nice place to visit for the weekend. Staff was friendly and it was clean. Definitely left something to desire when it came to food and drink though! We didn’t learn until we were already there that they only allow 1 dinner reservation for every 3 days of your stay??? WHAT!! So it was buffet for 2 of the 3 nights that we were there. The buffet was OK, nothing special. The coffee served out of a vending machine The Italian place was good for dinner, food was good and we were NOT rushed, but I can’t comment on the other restaurants since we were only allowed to eat at a “Special” Restaurant once during our stay. This hotel has another hotel on property and we were able to use their pool and bars and their buffet for lunch (not certain how that works for dinner though). The all-inclusive alcohol at this hotel DOES NOT INCLUDE TOP SHELF ALCOHOL (what they have of it anyway) there’s an additional $5 charge PER DRINK if you wanted what they call top shelf (Grey Goose, Jack Daniels, Jim Beam…etc) HOWEVER, if you walk to the OTHER hotel’s bars they DO INCLUDE top shelf alcohol??? Just strange since its the same hotel brand just a few minute walk, but definitely a PIA. They lost power a bunch of times while we were there but only for a few minutes each time. The AC in our room was sufficient to keep our room cool, However the AC fan was loud and persistent and my fiancé had a hard time sleeping with it running, but there’s really no choice if you want to keep your room cool. Next, we were promised by the hotel manager a swim out room that was going to be in the sun. My wife and I were switched after two days, how are we lost the first two days of that amenity. Next, my wife’s AirPods were stolen by the staff. We know this because we were able to track the AirPods to a location near the resort. Security promised they would do everything they could to look into it, however very little was done. They want us to go to the local police, but we all know that nothing would be done by them. Also, when we arrived at the resort, there was a discrepancy in my price that I paid online and with the resort.. the resort promised to do everything they could to remedy this, however, a slight reduction in price was all the did. I didn’t have much of a choice, but to pay it because you were stuck in a Third World country with not much options at the last minute. It was quite disheartening. Lastly, I have significant sand flea bites on my legs. The resort states they treat for this however I would tell you that the past week at the resort and home have been absolutely miserable. I’m now currently being treated by a physician because it’s that significant. So for the price you pay for the resort, buyer beware.
