The resort was excellent. The staff was always cleaning so the property was well kept. Guests that stayed there were pigs. They left their garbage and food all over the beach. They showed no respect. It was mostly the younger generation. Its too bad because its a nice resort. I would definitely visit the Riu Republica again. I want to thank everyone at the Riu Republica for everything they did to make our stay there enjoyable and memorable. Ginnette Hartlen and family

The hotel's cleanliness and organization were excellent; the room was clean and cozy, and the entire staff was very professional and pleasant. The two pools for adults were great, and the food and drinks were excellent. It was a good stay—thanks to everyone.

Staff was very friendly and fun. We ate every day at the buffet, which every day they served something different. Only complaint was that at the buffet, they were in a hurry to take your plate and drinks, so we had to make sure one of us stayed at table when the other person went to get dessert. Our room was always well stocked and cleaned every day. Resort was definitely family friendly. Something to do for all ages day and night. Will definitely go back!

The resort is very large, clean, and the trolley service across the property was helpful. However, the overall experience was disappointing. The staff was not very friendly or helpful, and communication was difficult because very few staff members spoke English. We felt completely lost during the first couple of days because there was no one available to clearly explain where things were or how everything worked. The food was average, and we had no luck getting reservations at any restaurants, even though we tried as soon as we checked in. The buffet areas were very crowded, and there were very few restaurant options available. We also had trouble getting a simple coffee order right throughout the stay. Another issue was the towel center closing immediately when the pool closed, leaving no option to return towels unless we took them back to the room. Overall, the resort is clean and transportation around the property is good, but the lack of helpful staff, poor communication, crowded dining areas, and difficulty getting restaurant reservations made the stay frustrating.
