Northern California Beach Vacations

They put us on the 1st floor viewing a wall. The room was dark when we arrived. No welcome note. No lights turned on and it smelled like damp rugs. Mind you we paid $850 per night. The sheets had stains, the towels were white at one point, but now a dirty grey color. The room is dated and the tub is from the 80’s. The vent in the bathroom was filthy dirt covered in dust. The shower head was covered in white calcium hard water. The only redeeming quality was the bed was comfortable. I would 100 % put this properly on the “Don’t Bother” list. Beyond disappointed. Barely a three star.

Beautiful property!! Staff was friendly and very helpful. Everything very clean and well maintained. Just a 2 minute walk to the beach, and a short (10 min) walk to the center of the Village of Carmel. While that walk is largely up hill to town, it’s not bad. There’s a free hotel shuttle to/from the Village that’s available 5-10pm. We rarely used it, as the walk was nice. My adult daughter and I felt completely safe walking between town and the hotel even at 10pm when everything was dark and quiet. The complimentary breakfast is AWESOME. Definitely recommend.

Very nice an well kept. Perfect location, walking distance to restaurants and and shops. Staff was helpful. Very clean.
