The service at the Cinnabear restaurant was not great but she gave us some compensation for not taking our dinner order correctly. It think the hotel was good overall but I would still rather stay at one of the nicer rooms at the Crystal lodge instead. Did not like that the ski storage locker was in the back of the hotel and only took skis and not boots or poles. The parking spaces in the parking garage are small and limited in number. (1,005 reviews) The coffee and pastry prices are a bit unusually expensive — almost ridiculously so. For example, a croissant at $17 is something I have never seen in my life. I find that a bit unreasonable. That said, the service is excellent and the place itself is wonderful. The concierge system, in my opinion, could benefit from some improvement to be a bit more efficient. It is, at best, a 3-star hotel - no pool, jacuzzi by reservation, no help in getting luggage to the room, etc. Our first room - 506 - was extremely dark, old and smaller than the offered sqm. As soon as we arrived we asked for a room change and were denied this request. After 2 nights we asked again - the room was terrible!!! - and we finally got another room (700) that had been remodeled recently. Location is great, front desk staff is great, but the cleaning staff needs to improve a lot !!! (5,222 reviews) We had a really great stay at the Pinnacle. Amazing value. Small kitchen with the basic necessities so we could make our own meals. The marketplace with a grocery store within walking distance for a few groceries we couldn’t transport in our drive up. Hot tub was so welcome after a day on the mountain and the younger members of our group enjoyed the heated outdoor pool. The big tub in the main area was kinda funny but also a hit for the younger members. Didn’t use the jets. We could walk back from the bottom of the Whistler gondola to the Pinnacle as we didn’t mind the 5-10 min walk in our boots. Friendly, helpful staff! Would stay again for sure.
