"喜喜哀楽さんは宇佐美海岸から徒歩2.3分の所にあるゲストハウスで、とっても人柄の良い若いご夫婦さんがオーナーです。フロントは、古道具に囲まれた昭和レトロな空間。壁には、キャンディーズや百恵ちゃんの写真が飾っています。ノスタルジックな雰囲気が落ち着きます。 お部屋は、とっても広くて2DKの広さに，なんとお部屋内に温泉付き。これには驚きました。源泉掛け流しの温泉♨️がお部屋にあるなんて スイートルームだと思います。ところどころに，オーナーさんの創意工夫が施されていて 使い勝手が良かったです。旅の話し、海の話し（オーナーさんサーファー🏄‍♂️)台湾の話し（奥様台湾の方)ができて楽しかったです。夕方は宇佐美海岸までサンセットを見に行ったり、宇佐美の街中を歩いたりして少しジモティ気分を味わいました。宇佐美はのんびりできて、それが心地良かったです。おひとり様、女子旅、カップル、ファミリー、少人数で楽しむにはもってこいのお宿です。お世話になりました。"

"The homeowner very courteously met us at the train station and escorted us to the house. The house itself is a wonderful, nicely appointed traditional Japanese home, and quite spacious with a great kitchen and modern bathroom. It's an easy walk to the beach and to the train station, and there are plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from. Ito is only one stop away on the train, with many more restaurants, and Atami is fairly close as well. Very clean. Highly recommended. "

"キッチンの床は綺麗になっていました。 一番残念だったのは、浴室のシャワーを使って、湯量が少ない上にお湯が程なく水に変わってしまい、お湯になるまでにまた時間が掛かる事です。 冬だったら、更に困ったと思います。 それから、各部屋の時計が殆んど止まっていました。 ブラインドは、羽の向きを変える金具が壊れている物が有りました。 "

"2008号室のオーシャンビューのお部屋に泊まりました。 眺めが良く、ちょうど河津桜が咲いていました。 チェックインはスマホで完了し、暗証番号でお部屋に入ることができ、わかりやすかったです。 周辺は特にお店もないので、事前の買い出しが不可欠です。 赤ちゃん連れだったのですが、ダブルサイズのベッドで添い寝ができました。ただし、ベッドの間は隙間があるので、枕でギャップを埋めました。 備え付けの有料コーヒーが特に美味しかったです。"

"The property is beautiful, private balcony with private onsen were AMAZING! Room was comfortable and well laid out. That part is definitely a 5\*. The staff were friendly, mostly helpful, but not so much if you got there early. They did take your stuff, but didn't help with directions on how to catch the bus or where to walk. The food is where this property lost a star (I'd give it a 3, maybe upper 2). The dining area is beautiful and peaceful. The actual food needs some work. The first course was set out 10 min early and was meant to be warm, we arrived on time and it was cold. They proceeded to bring out each course in rapid succession and we had a ton of food in front of us. Not a proper kaiseki meal. As we dug in the food was ok, how they managed dry fish in soup is beyond me. I'd stay here again - but would skip the food and enjoy it in town instead. One other note - if you stay here know its at least 30min away from the lake and the majority of the Hakone Loop. So I'd suggest accounting for that in your time planning. "

"Close to Atami Station, so easy to access trains, busses, taxis and shopping. Not as many amenities as a more expensive hotel, but they supply everything you need and there’s a Family Mart one block away. The staff are lovely and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast is small by North American standards, but I enjoyed it very much. This is a great, affordable Japanese hotel in a small onsen town. It was better than I expected at this price point. Two thumbs up! PS Don’t skip the Atami pudding in town, it’s worth waiting in line."
