"From other reviews I was expecting a slightly run down hotel but was impressed and thought it had not lost any of it’s charm from when it first opened in the 1930s. Lovely grandeur, refreshing nice pool in a convenient location between the old medina and more modern part of the town. We took the airport bus and walked about 15-20mins to the hotel. Staff were all polite and let us check in 30mins early. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel."

"Great single room with breakfast in the heart of the medina in Tangier. Clean, safe and super helpful staff. Be aware that the Riad is across the streen to the mosque. The call to prayer each morning is very loud. The host will remind you of this upon arrival. The host is also able to offer guide services. Please do not hestitate to ask them for anything. "

"Although the staff were reasonably nice, the building is beautiful, and the room had heating, we experienced several disappointing things. We are not going back. The location: The neighborhood was very loud (this was a Friday night), and it is not particularly easy to reach the port. Taxis had to go pretty far out of the way, and if traffic was bad, really far out of the way, to get there. One taxi ride to the port cost me 15 MDH, but the return was just 5.
