" This location is magical and the hosts have put much thought and care into creating a space that provides great comfort and convenience for their guests. A short 20-minute ferry ride from West Seattle and then a 10 minute drive from the Vashon ferry dock, the place is easy to find with the host-provided directions. Mary Ann provided a warm and informative welcome upon arrival, introducing us to the property and its many amenities. The house is perfect for any length of stay, as it is comfortable, spacious and very well-equipped with a new kitchen and open floor plan that turns the kitchen, living and dining room into a great gathering space. In early March we were blessed with unexpectedly pleasant weather - but a beach location like this would be great at any time of year, rain or shine. The kitchen is very updated and thoroughly equipped with all one needs. There are ample linens wherever needed (kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom). There are games galore, as well as DVDs and streaming services. There is also very useful tourist info; the hosts have thought of everything useful and practical! There is a glorious outdoor patio space; we even hung out there in the March weather. We watched boats daily and delighted in watching two eagles from a nest just a short way down the beach. The great-grandma in our group easily managed the one step up the porch to get into the place. The queen bed was too high for her, but the twin perfect. We plan to go again!"

"No hot water and no communication. We had no hot water - like the hot water was turned off, it was ice cold and no faucet increased. We called, texted, and messaged through Expedia, and got no response. No one is on site. If I am paying this price for a lodge stay I expect to be able to have hot - or at the very least warm water. I didn’t want to give a bad review but I have emailed and messaged the hotel since then and only get automated responses. It was a disappointment because we like going to Vashon, but not sure we will try here again."

"From the time we checked in, the refrigerator did not work. I reported the issue immediately to Vacasa to the number on the support page, acting as a rep for VRBO. The first person did not ever get back to me. The second person I called was the Vacasa local manager indicated that evening that she would reimburse for the ice we purchased to try to keep the cold items we had just bought before checking in from spoiling and for the hassel of no refrigerator. "

"The host was wonderful, answering all questions prior to our arrival. The home was clean and well organized for guests. The views were amazing. We did not cook while there, only making coffe. However, there were ample cooking utensils and spices if one wished to eat in. We loved and would visit again in the future."

"To start the reservation was confusing. When we arrived the owner said there was a problem with a breaker downstairs so we could use the upstairs. The upstairs is exactly where we expected to stay based on photos of the property. Also there was not a separate entrance we were aware of. The house has a smell like there had been pets there. The kitchen and bath were nice but the living room had older furniture that was uncomfortable. The bathroom water was either freezing cold or scorching hot. The outside of the property was unkept. To top it off, the furnace went out on our last night so we had to leave early which was very inconvenient during a business trip. The owner offered a refund but it was unclear weather I got the full refund amount, I think not, the receipt I was provided did not break down the charges. I expect a 4 star rating of a vrbo to be in very good condition and that is not the case here. "
