Hotels in Mata de Plátano, San Juan

"This was one of the smallest hotel rooms I have stayed in. The air conditioner was too high and it was freezing and the thermostat did not work to turn it down, so I just turned it off and it was still freezing. There was one towel for 2 people. The best I can say is that it was clean."

"Enjoyed the stay at the hotel and speculate appreciate the housekeeping service thigh was a bit disappointed with the service during the breakfast hours missing essential menu items over multiple days, not expected at a property which is overall pretty nice, well kept and well managed "

"The staff was wonderful, location was perfect, the room was beautiful and had a nice partial ocean view. The breakfast buffet was absolutely top notch! We will be back! "

"Rooms were clean . Not a lot to do at the resort . A small bottle of water was $6,75 rest is imaginable. Staff were friendly and helpful . Pool was boring , more like small Y pool. El Yunque National rainforest park was an hour away.. "

"Very clean, neat location with nice view. Cheapest toilet paper possible- had to go purchase some. Kitchen is nice but outlet near coffee pot didn't work. Checking in was a very easy process. Stairs to upper apartments can be hard to locate after dark. Overall, great stay!"

"It was a nice resort, but needed some updating. The WiFi was pretty terrible and overall systems dated. You have to wear a watch like band to open your room door, but have to manually provide your room number and name for every drink or meal. Most bars ring you up every time you order a drink even if you are having several rounds. We like more adult style properties and this catered more to families and conventions. Also, the food was very average. They did have good bourbon selection in a few bars which is tough to find in the Caribbean. The private island was ok, but transport was not timely like they advertise. "
