Oversized picture windows frame sweeping forest and mountain views, while indoor and outdoor dining spaces invite you to relax after a full day of adventure. This retreat is thoughtfully designed with a flexible layout perfect for families or friends traveling together. One area is upstairs and the other on the main level, each with its own comfortable touches for sleeping, relaxing, and cooking. To move between them, you’ll step outside briefly before re-entering—adding to the mountain charm and making it feel like your own special hideaway within one property. –Where You’ll Sleep– • Primary Bedroom (Upper Level): King Bed • Loft (Upper Level): Day Bed with trundle –Amenities You’ll Love– • Flexible layout with comfortable living/sleeping areas • Compact but fully equipped kitchen • Indoor & outdoor dining areas • Loft with oversized windows, Smart TV and breathtaking San Juan Gateway views • WiFi included –Location– • 4 miles north of Ouray • 10 minute drive to Downtown Ouray shops, restaurants & Hot Springs Pool • 10 minute drive to Ridgway • Hiking welcomed on property (no off-road vehicles) –Good to Know– • Owners live on-site in a separate home • 4WD/AWD required for winter stays (Sept–May) • RVs/trailers not permitted; free overflow parking available at west end of 9th Ave in Ouray • Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside are kept cool by opening windows at night when temps drop into the 40s and closing them with window coverings before sunrise. • STR Permit #2025-067 Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days before the arrival date. The location was great. Close to Ouray and Ridgway. Definitely need to follow the directions sent to you--do NOT use GPS. The drive to the property was up a steep hill so you need a vehicle with at least some type of AWD at a minimum due to the loose gravel. If there is rain or snow, it would be even more difficult. The cabin was very clean. The main bed was comfortable and the view out the bedroom window was magnificent!! Seating in the downstairs area is pretty tight, but there were only two of us so we made it work. There is no air conditioning, so just be prepared for that. There were several fans available. The main recommendation I have is for some type of covering (curtain or blind) in the kitchen window over the sink. The sun shines directly into the window in the late afternoon/evening & right into the main area. Also, the property owners utilize the workshop that is attached to the cabin. The king bed upstairs is very comfortable and looks out on the mountains! There is no air conditioning but with venting the screened windows and running the several fans that are provided, we were very comfortable. The “sofa” downstairs is a futon that was not comfortable to lounge on and we would have preferred an actual loveseat or something, but alas, we did not come to the mountains to sit around in our cabin. This place was amazing. The views are spectacular. Wildlife is everywhere. Even the pebbles here are more beautiful. Beauty abounds. Our cabin covered all of our needs and was really private and perfect. We had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this spot and please visit the hot springs in Ouray. The outdoor space is great, it's quiet and secluded, the view was amazing, and the sound of the river rushing was awesome. Only word of caution is that if you're going during the mud season be sure your vehicle can make it up the steep hill. My SUV had no trouble, but I could see smaller cars having issues if it rains like it did for us. Great place! ##### Connor M.
