"My husband and I were looking for a place to stay the night on a road trip up to Acadia so we booked at Howard Johnson. My only complaint was the overpowering smell in the lobby during check-in. However, once we got up to our room that smell was gone. The room was spacious and clean and I absolutely loved the look of the 1970's vibe. The bed was comfortable. Check-in and check-out was great and the staff members were kind and helpful. We did not have breakfast in the morning, so I can't comment on that, but everything else was way above what I had anticipated. I would absolutely stay in this hotel again as well as recommend it."

"Didnt particularly care about the sand and the bottom of the pool my sons feet were all beat up by the sand scrapping his feet besides that we slept awsome we woke up refreshed it was a great place to stay we will be back again. Thank u. "

"I enjoy talking with front desk. Very personable. Breakfast choices are good. Coffee was delicious. Bed was comfortable. Thank you for being pet friendly. Didnt like that expedia.com sold me a pet friendly hotel room at the Holiday Inn but when I arrived there was a 30 dollar pet fee. FYI, the following night I stayed at the Quality Inn, they do not charge their customers an added fee. "

"Stunningly beautiful views! Well-maintained and spotlessly clean cottage. Kitchen has everything you need, and there are 2 fridges (one mini in the kitchen, one full with freezer in basement.) Weather was hot a few days during our stay, and the window AC unit in the living room kept the whole cottage cool. The upstairs loft is very cute and cozy but is only accessible via a set of stairs that’s really more like a ladder. Both beds were extremely comfy! Enough parking for 3 cars, which worked well when we had our son’s friends visit for an afternoon. The lake is perfect for swimming and kayaks or canoes. There are restaurants and grocery store about 20 mins away…the cottage is on the far side of the lake. Can’t recommend enough!"
