We asked for cleaning service the very first day we arrived, and the guy at the reception questioned why we would want that the following day. Huh... because it's a hotel and not a airbnb and we are paying for it?? Nevertheless, the following day, it wasn't done. We thought it might have been a misunderstanding, so we asked for it again for the following day. It was done. We asked for it again the third day at 10:05am. They told us the cut-off time was 10am so they wouldn't be able to accommodate us. So we spent 4 nights there and the cleaning service was only done once, when we wanted it everyday. And it wasn't even well done: the white floor of the bathroom was still muddy, so no mop was used. I don't think they used the vacuum cleaner either since we found a butterfly clasp on the carpet that wasn't for my wife. - The attitude of the staff is uneven: some are nice, others shouldn't be working with the public. For example, the young woman at the reception in the morning is unpleasant and contemptuous. - The sound of the train during the night or early morning is very loud; - There was a bachelorette party on our floor, so we could notice how thin the walls really are. - There's often nobody at the reception during afternoon or evenings; - The bar closes at 9-10pm ish... Come on, isn't this New Orleans?? Consider this hotel as a self-service airbnb experience. My only complaints are the parking which is $67 a 24 hour period and the wall that separates the bathroom from the sleeping area is frosted glass so if someone is taking a shower you can practically get a perfect silhouette of that person. Not a big deal if it’s your partner but if you’re traveling with another couple or your parents or anyone else it’s no bueno. I landed in Nola a few hours before check in. I went over there expecting to leave my luggage until check in but was pleasantly surprised when I was advised my room was ready for me. Upon entering the room, it definitely gave me lofty vibes. The room had exposed brick, high ceilings, very chill and most importantly super CLEAN! The bed was very comfortable, I was actually looked forward to coming back just to sleep. The shower was spacious and no issues with hot water. The location was perfect, Riverwalk is literally right behind the hotel and you're a short walk to Canal, Bourbon and Frenchmen. The only part that felt off was that they had me sign something saying they could enter for service, but I never saw anyone my whole stay. No refresh, no check in. Then checkout day housekeeping was knocking like it was urgent on my door to remind me to check out. With that said, I wasn't really in the room like that anyway and needed nothing. I was outside enjoying the city, so it didn't ruin my stay... just something to note. And I also appreciated them holding my bags due my late flight out. I got to enjoy Nola a little longer w/o dragging luggage around.
