    "Comfortable Hotel"
Conveniently situated. We needed a hotel in that part of Baton Rouge and were happy with our choice. Good value (breakfast included), spacious rooms and free Wi-Fi. Although we did not used the outdoor facilities (pool, basketball court) not the gym, many guests did. Particularly families. Happy with the breakfast buffet. Very happy to have real cutlery, real plates and cloth napkins rather than paper and plastic. The only negative is that staff responsible for passageways don't vacuum daily and it shows. Also, outdoor staff are not too conscientious with the cleanliness of stairways and cigarette butts carelessly thrown from upstairs. It's not a good look and spoils the good inside impression.

    "Nice hotel by great eats"
This hotel is like the other Hyatt Place hotels, which means they are usually consistent with a friendly staff. We almost missed out on the room that we booked 10 months prior, because there were people occupying the hotel that's helping out with the flood aftermath. The only complaint that I have, which I try not to complain because life is so great, is the lack of power outlets by the bed. There was only one with no available openings, unless you unplug the clock. The other outlets were by the sinks (bathroom and by the fridge), which means leaving your mobile devices near water to charge. Also, I use a cpap and definitely needed the extra outlet to plug in. But overall, it was a great trip and we all enjoyed the dinner at Cheesecake Bistro across the street!

    "Hotel next to River. "
I had a great time. The hotel is very nice. If you don't have the Valet park your car, park in the garage and take the bridge that connects to the Hotel- too risky crossing the street. The Hotel is nice and clean. The staff very friendly. The food is good at Smokey Joe's Cafe (fast, hot, friendly). But the service is POOR at Java's Deli- very slow overall and the employees don't look very happy. As for the casino, it is actually on a big paddle boat connected to the hotel and sits on the river. The casino is is old, smokey and small; but I had a blast gambling there. I suspect the locals hang out here because there is a nice bar that has live music just before you walk into the casino (very packed)!! The people and staff are very friendly and talkative making the whole experience great!!. The drink service was very good- (be sure to tip, they'll come looking for you- I loved this!). Win or loose, I want to drink while I'm playing the slots or tables. And yes, I did pretty good on the slot machines. Moreover, my girlfriend even won a $250 gift card- some type of random drawing. Also, it's right next to the El Dorado casino. So maybe next time, I'll walk over and check their casino out.

    "Very Nice"
This hotel/casino is very clean, the staff extremely nice, and in an excellent location close to shopping on the Boardwalk. I am not a gambler, but did enjoy walking through the casino to observe. And being close to the Boardwalk, we were within walking distance to excellent shopping and a movie theater. Plenty of restaurants both within the hotel and at the Boardwalk.
