Points faibles : Commodités Overall the hotel is quaint and charming. The location is perfect if you plan on being in the French Quarter. The staff were kind and welcoming. Things to know before you book: if your room faces the courtyard/pool area the noise level is high in the morning and night. The courtyard is cobble stone and carts can be heard early in the am. Staff also take their breaks at the tables in the courtyard which is outside of rooms. It can get pretty loud. You can hear a steady amount of traffic from cars, music and people at night in your room. There’s no vending machines. We door dashed items when needed. Rooms were clean, we did not notice any smells. We had an outstanding stay at the Chateau Hotel. The location is absolutely perfect—just steps from everything in the French Quarter while still feeling quiet and tucked away when you return for the night. The courtyard and pool area give the place a relaxed, classic New Orleans feel. The staff was fantastic, especially Elaine, who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and offered great local recommendations. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what you want after a full day exploring the city. One thing we appreciated most was how easy it was to walk everywhere—great restaurants, music, and historic sites are all right outside the door. Bourbon Street and all the other little French Quarter blocks are a few short steps away. The room was nice and clean but the only thing that bothered me was that the old doors leading out to the balcony did not lock completely except from one lock on the bottom the other two lots were not effective because there was nothing there to hold them in. I understand it's in a hotel and I could forgive that I'm just afraid that people can break into the room somewhat easily. They had at least a safe that worked very well. The key fob was used to enter the premises and the room and one of them never worked. They did have something that you could download onto your phone so you can get into the hotel and your room using your phone's features but that worked inconsistently. The water pressure is very very low so you can take a nice long slow shower if that's what you like with only the minimalist of water falling on you. I felt like I was outside and light rain was falling.
