The property was in a great location. Loved the restaurant / bar in the ground floor. The room I had was very spacious. My one note would be that the walls in the bathroom were splattered with something and the wall behind the trash bin was splattered with something. Other than that, the room was very clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Would stay there again and would recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in Twickenham.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Easy to check in staff were helpful and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and the bar/restaurant was busy and quite popular with a pleasant atmosphere
We had a wonderful stay while visiting our son at St Mary’s. Quaint hotel with lots of character and great service. All employees were very personable and we really enjoyed the onsite restaurant/pub.
The hotel felt old in a good way, but the rooms - and especially the bathrooms - were up to date and beautifully maintained. We enjoyed lovely breakfasts in the sunny dining room and we left agreeing that the Alexander Pope was a hotel we would happily return to. It's also very convenient to central Twickenham and the 490 bus took us everywhere we needed to go.
Alexander Pope hotel was truly a gem, the room was gorgeous and welcoming, with a view of the Thames and a lot of space.
I love how old the building is, everything is solid wood and it makes you appreciate the history of the area, most notably nearby is Alexander Pope’s Grotto. I would love to stay here again!
