"Nice log cottage sitting on Diana Mountain with a nice view of Bras d’Or Lake. The night skys are fantastic. The cottage is secluded. It is about a 35 minute drive to the nearest store of any kind so if you want to get away from everything it is perfect. Stock up before you go. The cottage has high speed internet and good cell phone reception to keep you in touch with the outside world. If you are planning on taking in a lot of the sights of Cape Breton Island then plan on a lot of driving."

The only negative was that, while the master bed was great, the bed on the second bedroom was not. But, as a property at which to disconnect and decompress, it was fantastic. "

"We truly enjoyed our stay! It was a cute set up with all amenities. The beach is close by, unfortunately the jellyfish were a bit too plentiful. The owner came each morning to bring water, ice and a treat for everyone. It’s very secluded and my kids were able to be wild and loud. The dogs enjoyed exploring the area as well. If you are wanting to camp without the stress of setting up a tent, this is the place for you!"

It is quite a remote property which was a little nerve wracking at first as our signal was limited but the setting is worth it. Only about 20 mins to St Peters. Our main feedback was just around the compost toilet, whilst eco efficient, it does have a smell and this smell progressively got worse with more use.
