« Not easy to contact owner, or any person if we had questions.property was fine except inside stairs. Absolutely filthy..really no need to remove shoes. In fact one would not want to..stairs way too dirty..we originally were to be 6 but ended up as 2 so other than one bedroom none of the others were touched . Other odd thing..only bathroom was downstairs..little inconvenient to say the least. »

« We were actually bumped up to the Trail House, a welcome surprise as I’d just had a procedure the day before and was having some pain and mobility issues. Was provided with check-in details days before arrival. The cottage was gorgeous, spotless, beds and furniture were comfortable. Dependable WI-FI. Centrally located on the peninsula. Brochures were provided and were helpful in planning for food and gas and some attractions we wanted to see this time. We would rent this again and again! »

« This is a fantastic VRBO property. The access and views of the beach and Lake Superior is stunning and relaxing. We spent 3 days with family and enjoyed making dinners, sitting on the patio with the chiminea and taking walks on the beach. Great hosts and fantastic amenities. « This was the perfect place for us to get away and “unplug” with family and friends for a long weekend. « The property needs some "Finishing touches" to be an excellent one. A headboard on the master bed, adult size life preservers if you are going to have kayaks and paddle boards for use on Lake Superior, a kitchen faucet that doesn't leak all over the countertop and a water filtration system that can remove tannins. The water is gross! »

« This property was ideal to accommodate our large group of friends and children for a reunion of MTU classmates. The house is HUGE so no one felt crowed. The basement had lots of fun games to keep our teenage children occupied. Some of the furniture has definitely seen better days, but everything was very clean. It was easy walking distance to both downtown Hancock and Houghton. I would definitely request to stay again if staying in the area with a large group. »

« Very spacious and clean. Comfortable beds. Quiet neighborhood, but close to town. If we'd had more time, we could have played some backyard games. Everything we needed was there. The highway can be a little noisy at times as other people have stated. But I signed up knowing it was there. Beach area has concrete steps that are uneven getting to beach. Just adds to the charm. »
