"Overall, very nice"
Comfortable contemporary styled hotel. We stayed three nights and enjoyed the different breakfast choices each morning. The beds were quite comfortable. There was nowhere to hang wet bath or hand towels in the bathroom which was odd since they, like most hotels nowadays, push patrons to reuse their bath towels in the spirit of being 'green'. Our room had two queen beds. One of them was positioned too close the wall. This made it quite difficult for anyone of any size to get out of that side of the bed. An extra foot of space, at least, would be beneficial. All hotel staff we encountered at the front desk, maintaining the breakfast area and in housekeeping were pleasantly outgoing, polite and cordial.

"Small but clean and quiet"
The room we stayed in at this hotel was smaller thank we were accustomed to. But, it was one of the cleanest we have stayed in for quite some time. In addition to this, it was very quiet and the staff was very accommodating.

"Spacious room near pictured rocks"
The room was very large inside and everything was clean. The bathroom counter was sagging and starting to come apart underneath. There is a lot of iron in the water here. Road noise may be an issue if you are a light sleeper. Beds are comfy and plenty of pillows in the room. Breakfast was nice with a good variety of options and fresh brewed coffee.

"Clean and efficient. Comfortable. "
Had a problem with the TV. They fixed it the next day. Had no one on staff during the evening to fix and no rooms to move us to. Other than that clean, comfortable and all the amenities breakfast, pool, hot tub. Would be nice if they were pet friendly.

    Marquette Hotel Guide

Although this area of Michigan was inhabited by fur traders and missionaries as early as the 1800s, Marquette, MI did not become a working settlement until after iron was discovered in 1844. The iron mining made Marquette quite successful, and the town capitalized on this wealth by advertising itself as a vacation destination in the early 1900s. Its location on the Great Lakes made it a natural stop for passenger ships, which often let off crowds of visitors during the summer.
