"Newly renovated hotel, conveniently located."
We enjoyed this hotel because our room was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. The one item that could be better would be the buffet. I realize it's complimentary but some of the items were terrible. The fruit medley was served from frozen, so it was soggy and most of it was inedible. egg omelettes were hard as well. I enjoyed the coffee and waffles. I would stay here again but hopefully they upgrade some buffet items.

Americas Best Value Inn Marquette

"great hotel for the price."
I and my significant other stayed for 3 nights. We were touring the first day and returned to a room that had not been cleaned nor wastebaskets emptied. The cleaning staff had apparently miscommunicated with each other. They supplied towels and removed trash rather quickly. We had no more cleaning issues. I don't travel all that much but was surprised to see the $10 additional fee for micro and frig. use. The lighting was not great, could be solved with 4 bigger bulbs. The beds were very comfortable. We will most likely return.

Value Host Motor Inn

"Good Hotel for the money"
Older hotel but has been updated. Nothing fancy. No pool or hot tub, which was fine with us I hate paying for a pool or hot tub I have no intention of using. Staff was friendly and room was clean. Average size room. Half the cost of most other hotels in vicinity. If not for the reasonable rates of this hotel we would have bypassed Marquette completely. Hotel still uses regular type room keys. I don't have a problem with this, just surprised. If looking for a decent hotel in or around Marquette for a reasonable rate and don't require a pool I would recommend you give Value Host of Marquette a try.

    Marquette Hotel Guide

Although this area of Michigan was inhabited by fur traders and missionaries as early as the 1800s, Marquette, MI did not become a working settlement until after iron was discovered in 1844. The iron mining made Marquette quite successful, and the town capitalized on this wealth by advertising itself as a vacation destination in the early 1900s. Its location on the Great Lakes made it a natural stop for passenger ships, which often let off crowds of visitors during the summer.
