There are two bedrooms, one bath, a kitchen, dining area and living room (Standard Occupancy is 4\*). There is a good sized covered lanai and great ocean views from the living room and the lanai. Just step off the lanai onto the grass & walk to the beach in front. Keone, the downstairs beach house, is great for easy access. No steps between your bed and the sand! It has a cool relaxed feel. In fact, Keone means the sand or sands in Hawaiian. Hanalei town with its and restaurants & stores are only about 4 - 5 blocks away. There is a King in the first bedroom with a flatscreen. Twins in the second bedroom for the kids or single friends. If you are two couples, the twins can be made up as a King. An extra bed will be set up in the living room for reservations with 5 Guests. \*Listed rate is for the standard occupancy of 4, but home can accommodate up to 5\. The Extra Guest Fee beyond 4 is $20+tax/per night/per person. Only 1 extra person is allowed. This fee is collected after booking.) Your lanai is a great spot for lounging, lunch, or anytime. Some of our guests get a pretty cloth & cover the picnic table on the grass in front of the lanai for dinner and set a bunch of flowers on it. With others the lanai is home to sand toys and surf boards. Just walk past the palms & ironwoods to the sand. If you've had enough sun, but not enough beach, under the trees is where you will be. Great place for reading or Scrabble. There are beach chairs for your use. There is a combined tub shower in the house, as well as an outdoor hot & cold shower at the laundry hut just steps away. You never know what you will see on the beach. Many people come here to get married, renew vows, celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, even to get baptized! Canoe races, surfers, kite surfers, fishermen, volleyball players. Even with all this activity, most people experience the beach with fewer people on it than they could have dreamed. If you want action go out to the beach and head right. If you want space, go left toward the river mouth. If you are our guests at Keone, you will enjoy, sun, rain, surf, rainbows, and a great little town set in a fabulously beautiful location. The State of Hawaii requires a rental agreement. The rental agreement has different cancellation policies than VRBO. Please be aware that when you book this house or any accommodations by the ocean in Hawaii, not on a bluff, you are booking in a tsunami evacuation zone. Evacuation instructions will be in the house and notice of the tsunami evacuation zone will be part of your contract. Also please know that we cannot accommodate charging of electric vehicles at this property at this time. Unobstructed ocean/beach view across front lawn. Looking back to house from lawn opens up to gorgeous view of green jungly mountains. Living room and tropical furniture felt cozy when it rained. North coast is nice with small towns, small roads, less developed beaches. We stayed with our 2 adult kids which was a bit of a squeeze. They shared a room, and we all shared the bath. Two things I would highlight. As clearly stated on the listing, there is no air conditioning. I’m usually hot, my wife is usually cold. There were times we were both still a little hot with the windows open and the fans on, but not so much that we wouldn’t stay. Second, the washer/dryer isn’t in the unit, it is in a communal space with the outside shower. Knowing this, the way it’s listed makes sense, but that’s not how I read it/what I expected. We never had to wait to use them and it wouldn’t keep us from staying here, but I thought I’d include it so it was clear. Again, we loved it!! ##### Joshua T. You are ON the Hanalei bay beach and can see the waves breaking from inside the unit and from the lovely covered patio. Roll out of bed and take a nice walk on the beach or paddle out to surf on many of the different breaks around the bay. A lovely 15 min walk to "town" takes you to coffee and bakery in the morning and dinner at night. We were lucky to not have any tenants above us the entire week other than the first night. As expected, it is loud when they walk around above you. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed. Check-in instructions were sent out a full week early from an unexpected sender, so I missed that email, making arrival a little stressful, including a call to vrbo. Straight out of the fifties. The furniture need s to be cleaned. Our bottom sheet Was balling The beach towels are worn out. It someone rents the upstairs. It is like no noice barrier. The laundry room is used by 3 houses and is fifty yards away. As is the outdoor shower. The best part is the patio where you can see the ocean. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was probably our 7th time at one of the cottages here on this property. We love the location. We love the view. We love being in a place that is true Hawaiian style. We will be back for #8 and then again. (If the PM is reading this a larger coffee maker would be great as well as a full length mirror in the master.) ##### Jeffery P.
