"When we arrived for our weekend away, they greated us by advising us that they had upgraded us to a room with a view, which straight away made us even more happier. Beautiful location and hotel and the Spa and breakfast were brilliant as well. Just missing a gym for us, then it would have been perfect. Defo going again. "

"All members of staff extremely helpful, young lasse went out of her way to book me in early, then other females granted me an iron and ironing board and directed me to the in-house laundrette and drying area🙏 Absolutely einfach-klasse/ simply brilliant. All areas were spotlessly clean. This YHA is the best, in my humble opinion, and the ambiance is surreal. A credit to Cumbria, exemplifies the fact that Cumbria is putting the Great back into Britain ✌️☮️🐇💋🌈"

"What a room!! The view was delightful and as we had our 10 year old daughter with us we were amazed at the size of the room we were allocated. ( Helm Crag Suite ). The hotel was lovely with lots of character. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay there again. We had breakfast and dinner the 3 days we stayed. The breakfast was great but the dinners were a bit hit and miss, presentation was good but the crispy duck was more crackling than crispy."
