"Great stay a woodbine cottage. It's a great location for all the shops and pubs, and some fabulous hiking from the door. Good sized accommodation for 4, but maybe tight for 6 as the bunk beds are very rickety and small, so maybe not advisable for small children."

"This was a lovely space for our family of 4. The kitchen was generally well-equipped. Beds were warm and comfy. Check-in and parking instructions etc were clear. It was a good base for our Lakes adventure."

"Great location nestled under helm crag outside grasmere. Reasonably sized stone cottage for our family of 5 (3kids 10-15). Generally clean with nice bathroom (complete with heated towel rail and underfloor heating). Some minor picky points however... The Shower was great but the tank empties very quickly with the large shower head, and goes cold quickly. So had to reheat the tank a couple of times and stagger shower times to get family through the shower. Heating setup was also rather odd. There...

"The property was excellent. The drive is too narrow for big cars, but you are able to park off-road on the owners drive nextdoor. Poor communication from Cottage.com about access with keys."

"Bedroom wall had bad damp all over one wall which left a musty smell. Main room had only one blind which meant sun light woke me up at 4/30 am. Terrible mattress which was awful to sleep in. "

"This was a wonderful house in a wonderful location. Almost magical-views out every window, well stocked. A virtual rabbits warren of thick walled rooms well decorated and festive for the holidays. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Loved the walking paths outside and the playground across the street. Clean and comfortable."
