Really lovely cottage in the middle of Ambleside. Parking is off-site about 5 minutes away from the property up a very steep hill which wasn’t made explicitly clear so bare that in mind. There is nowhere to quickly park your car to unload bags or collect the resident’s parking permit so you have to pay for parking first. The showers were nice but honestly quite dirty with lots of black marks (possibly mould) on the shower head and the silicone which put us off using one of them. Besides that the bathrooms were nice. The kitchen is well equipped and clean with some cleaning equipment provided. Also included is a washer and dryer which was great. Overall a really nice stay but could benefit from a good deep cleaning of the showers, and more disclosure on parking before arrival as this could be very problematic for people with mobility issues. Thank you!
