Casa Panama Hotel has an excellent location in Casco Viejo, and the staff kindly held our luggage. However, the rooms are small, and the hotel shares an elevator with the restaurant upstairs. Overall, it was an okay stay for one night, with the location being the main highlight. The pool is on the roof in the middle of the restaurant. Wi-fi was very spotty.

My experience was terrible. The security and reception supervisor was not friendly at all. There was no hospitality. I have an issue with a rented vehicle that was too big to park on their parking lot, and I asked to park in the hotel entrance, which is public space. The reception supervisor forced me to pay for a parking service that I never used because I used the public space, and he intimidated me by saying that if I didn’t pay for the parking, he wouldn’t allow me to make the check-in. At my return on the night, the security supervisor didn’t allow me to use the public space despite the reception manager telling me that it was okay to use and wouldn’t be a problem at all. He followed me to my room using bad words and made me feel harassed. He told me that I didn’t look like their usual clients and that he didn’t believe me that I was staying at that hotel because I didn’t look like an American tourist. This is an example of classism and racism. I asked multiple times to speak with a manager and be listened to, and I was ignored. I also asked to talk with the security manager as a security professional to another, and he decided to ignore my request. This is the real value and face behind the mask of the people from this hotel.
