The best time to go to Darling Harbour is during the spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) months, when the weather is pleasantly mild and ideal for exploring.

During these seasons, you'll experience comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 18°C to 25°C, with less humidity than the summer months. This makes it great for walking along the waterfront, enjoying outdoor dining, and taking advantage of the many attractions without the intense heat or the cooler, wetter conditions of winter. You'll find fewer crowds compared to the peak summer holidays, allowing for a more relaxed experience at popular spots like the Australian National Maritime Museum or SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will particularly appreciate the spring and autumn months. The temperate evenings are great for a harbour cruise or a stroll around Cockle Bay Wharf, followed by dinner at one of the many waterside restaurants. The clear skies and comfortable atmosphere enhance the experience of watching the sunset over the water.

Families travelling with children will also find these times of year highly suitable. The mild weather means kids can comfortably enjoy outdoor activities at Darling Quarter or the playgrounds without getting too hot or cold.
