Use to stay here 2x/year since its opening as Hardrock Hotel. Was a great place to stay as Hardrock. Shut down during Covid. Currently they severed their Hardrock afficliation and reopened under "Megopolis". They have the same furnature, art work, resturants, same good free breakfast buffet and etc. Didn't see any real property decline from before Covid. Has been very well taken care of. Rooms are very good, with great views of Panama bay or the City. The only thing I would say is that the staff is not quit as helpful. They are good, don't get me wrong, and some are very helpful (and eager to help) but just seems to be an overall sense of less attentiveness.

Hotel is a little rundown but they were making repairs. Our room was comfortable AC worked great, breakfast was nice and the pool was wonderful.
The staff was kind and helpful but services were only available if you asked. For example; website says daily housekeeping. When we asked why our room wasn’t cleaned they said we didn’t ask for it. We had the only key to the room so they couldn’t clean unless we gave them the key. We couldn’t check in because they didn’t have power in the office. They asked us every day to go check in but when we tried they said “later”. We ended up checking in and out on the same day. (Not a problem for us.) They couldn’t provide a printout of charges. Sweet people but the place is a bit disorganized.
We enjoyed our time there because it was quiet and peaceful. Very few people were there which we liked. We live in Panama so we’re use to things very relaxed and off beat.
If you’re looking for a 5 star resort with lots of services this isn’t it. If you want beauty, peace and quiet among friendly staff in a beautiful setting and don’t mind quirky and rustic THIS IS IT!
This met our expectations so we will be back!
