"This property is fabulous. We had a large group and needed to rent both the main house and the cottage. We all could fit at the dining room table in front of those giant windows facing the bay. The kitchen was incredible, and we prepared most of our meals for the whole crowd right there. The outdoor kitchen/grill came in very handy. The beauty of the woodwork and architectural details in the house can be appreciated for hours. But the ultimate hook for me was the setting: with the pond and its wildlife out back, and the bay and all the beautiful landscaping out front; and, of course, the pier, which the whole family delighted in. All this and I haven't yet mentioned the hundreds of yards of private beach that we enjoyed. We had a few small issues with some items in the house, but the property manager responded quickly with maintenance personnel. This house is peace and quiet, serenity, beauty, nature, and refreshment. It just feels good being there. "

"We were a group of five adults traveling to Maryland for a wedding. Driftwood Haven worked out perfectly! The house was spotlessly clean and very well stocked with everything we could possibly need. There were even two coffee makers…a single-serve Keurig as well as a regular drip machine! The beds were quite comfortable, and the linens were soft and the bath towels were plush. We all enjoyed sitting in the two screened-in sunrooms and the views of the Chesapeake Bay were fantastic, both by day and by night. And when we had questions, the owners were very responsive. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this property! "

"Everything was great"

"Everything about the Swanendele Inn was exceptional: the location, the accommodations, the facilities, the decor, the hosts, and, not least, the breakfast. In fact, you could spend several days just exploring the remarkable antiques and artifacts around the place. However, what made the strongest impression was the fiery glow of dawn though the pine trees outside our balcony every morning in the Margeret Brent suite. Rhododaktylos, "The rosy-fingered dawn": I never understood the true meaning of that phrase until I saw that."

"We had a fantastic stay at this beach house! The view was absolutely stunning — waking up to the sound of waves every morning was magical. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed, from a well-stocked kitchen to comfy beds. Just a short walk to the beach, and the sunsets were incredible. The host was responsive and friendly. Can’t wait to come back!"

"Check in and check out were easy. They had a new grill to use, lots of outside equipment like bikes and kayaks to use, plenty of room inside to hang out with family, large yard was great for our dogs and the area is so quiet- we only saw a few people the whole time which was nice. Large dining table, poker table, washer and dryer, and chess table were all nice to have. Outside shower worked well. Lots of parking. Every room had made beds and clean towels and washcloths which was very nice. Bring everything you need. There is nowhere to buy anything. There is one very small post office/gas station type store as your coming in but its still pretty far to go get something from even that. They have an air fryer, coffee machine, k cup maxhine, toaster and microwave. Pretty stocked kitchen. Lots of dvds and some games to play. Plenty of extra blankets and a blow up mattress if needed. When we arrived the fridge was acting up. The owner resolved the issue the following day. The one room on the third floor seemed to have issues with the outlets working, and occasionally some didnt work here and there but it didnt affect us. The internet works well. The shed door was broken, it seemed like maybe from a storm or wind, but that also didnt bother us. We love coming here. This was our second year. If you want a secluded trip, this is it. We brought our boats and had a great time. "
