Clean room, comfy bed, restaurant on site friendly staff. Short drive to boardwalk

Had a room in the Main Lodge with a lake view which was awesome. Really comfy King Size bed. The Lodge is close enough to downtown Baddeck to walk to the Alexander Graham Bell museum & the restaurants for dinner.

Stunning location, owner was very gracious with a great restaurant next door. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends

Out over $400 on a management decision! We were travelling to Baddeck when a powerful storm hit the Maritimes on September 5th. The provincial government declared a local state of emergency in Victoria County (and a couple others) in which Baddeck is situated and people were advised to stay off the roads unless travel was for health, safety, or emergency purposes. The storm caused 120 road closures and 8 bridges were damaged with power outages for more than 40,000 people. In fact, one person unfortunately died. We called the hotel that afternoon from another community before crossing over to Cape Breton Island (which was out of power). We explained it was not safe to travel according to government officials and we would like to cancel our reservation due to the storm. We also asked that under the circumstances, we would like a refund. Baddeck Inn Management refused our request for a refund and in fact encouraged us to continue to travel to Baddeck despite government warnings. We tried to get a resolve through Expedia and were advised that if the hotel said no to the refund there was nothing they could do. Ultimately we are out over $400. Do not stay at the Baddeck Inn.
