Aguacate Vacation Packages

We wanted to book somewhere in the middle of nowhere and this was what we booked. What a stunning view of the surrounding area and the night sky was something I hope I can remember forever. The lodge was what you can expect for the price, certainly adequate enough and breakfast was more than enough and was included too. We arrived just before the season start and I think there’s an image of the jacuzzi but don’t expect it to be operational, no big deal. Have a walk around the local area, there’s not too far to go but breathtaking views all around. Don’t expect anything more than a lodge with basic facilities which are clean and adequate. The down side…… it’s in the middle of nowhere…. The drive in scared all of us and took all my concentration and 32 years of driving experience which probably didn’t include the steep inclines on gravelly terrain but we made it…. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get there before it gets dark…. I’d suggest get there at least two hours before sunset and enjoy the sunset views from the balcony of the “jacuzzi” area. Even with the knowledge of the drive experience we had I’d still go again….. the roads really were awful…. But the stay was worth it!! Also the guy who see us in, sorry I don’t recall your name, was very friendly and helpful and delivered our breakfast to our lodge in the morning. Excellent stay

We stayed at El Tigre Hideaway for four nights in July and had a truly unique and memorable experience. The villa itself is beautiful and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need, including extra blankets, robes and slippers, a fully stocked kitchen, and plenty of toiletries and supplies. The staff was also incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The nearby hikes were absolutely amazing and were some of the highlights of our trip. If you're looking for an authentic rainforest experience, this is it! There are a few things future guests should know. We visited in July and it rained almost nonstop during our stay, so unfortunately we weren't able to enjoy the outdoor patios or swing areas. We hiked in the rain, which was part of the adventure, but the humidity made it difficult for clothes to dry, even inside the villa. A small washer and dryer would be a wonderful addition for guests returning from muddy hikes. Also, if you are uncomfortable with bugs, be prepared. Even with doors and windows closed, some insects still found their way inside. They were fascinating and unlike anything we had ever seen, but there were quite a few of them. As advertised, you cannot drive directly to the villa and must use their transportation service. The drivers were prompt most of the time, but the road is steep, rocky, unpaved, and quite bumpy! No maid service and the closest restaurant for dinner is 30 minutes away. A peaceful, remote rainforest retreat

My family and I had a great stay here! JP and his associates welcomed us and made us feel at home. Complimentary breakfast was great and the other meals were delicious. The room itself was great given you are in the jungle, so there was no a/c and typical sugar ants but nothing unexpected. The pool and the views were gorgeous. The hot tub was down while we were there but it wasn’t missed. We took advantage of the Lake Tour and La Tia’s massage services which were both worth the money. We traveled to La Fortuna and used a shuttle service that picked us up right from the hotel. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!

Our party of 3 arrived the evening of Apr 3rd for a 3 night stay. The owner showed us to our cabin, and it was in terrible condition. The stairs were loose, the handrailing was rickety, the door didn't fit properly. Once inside, we could see it was poorly built, the bathroom was dirty, and it appeared not to have hot water, although we never had a chance to find out for sure. We went for something to eat, and then came back to the cabin for a shower and a nights sleep. My 2 friends were outside, and I went into the bathroom to use the toilet. The shower was on the left, sink in the middle, and toilet on the right. I lightly placed my left hand on the sink while raising the toilet seat, when the sink fell off the wall! The ceramic sink hit my legs, knocking me off balance, and I fell to the left, landing on my right hip, and knocked both shower doors off the track with my left shoulder. My friends rushed in as I was picking myself up, and noticed my left arm was bleeding. The sink flipped upside down on the floor when it fell, and I think the metal drain that was sticking straight up caused the cuts on my arm. The metal sink support brackets on the wall were rusted paper thin. In respect to making things worse, it was fortune the shower door panes were plastic and not glass. If glass, and they broke when I hit them, my injuries could have been much worse. We have pictures of the sink, and the injuries to my arm.
