"We had a great family stay at the Alishan Hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The highlight was the location which is close to the start of most of the trails and sights. This was very convenient for the member of our party that needed breaks and rest in between hikes. Additionally the shuttle service was very helpful especially for getting to the train station early for the sunrise train. We had a beautiful view of the mountain and sunset from our room. A hidden gem of the location...

"About 40-ish minute drive from Alishan national park. The staff were very friendly and responsive! We had a problem with a smell coming from the toilet, but the staff fixed it right away. The rooms were a bit cold in January, but otherwise, beautiful room. We had complimentary, high quality mountain tea that the staff prepared freshly for us. Overall, great time and would book again."

"My room overlooking the village's central area provided interesting views into local life. Breakfast was available at the hotel's modest restaurant across the street. Helpful staff showed me the ingredients so I could build my own breakfast since I could not complete their Chinese language menu. The bathroom had its own onsen tub, so I did not use the spa."

Even though the way to get there is not really convenient from the airport, after my girlfriend and I experienced staying in the hotel, we will still consider the hotel which is still our first choice to stay. "The room is spacious, clean and beautifully appointed. The hosts were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The property is away from the main road, so it’s quiet, but it’s still a walkable distance to the main attractions. It’s uphill to the bus stop and the attractions, but the host will pick up and deliver your luggage to and from the bus stop. They were really nice."

"We had a bad experience finding the registration office. We came in from a different entrance (#2). There was no sign that the registration office is in a complete different building. My poor old mom had difficulty in walking had to waste her energy in going up and downhill with me trying to ask people and looking for the registration place. We only had a difficult time at the beginning. We enjoyed the rest of the staying because the staff were very nice and the food was great. "

"staff are good and nice. Food and room was not good enough at this rate. Customers raised noise in this resort after 10 PM. Need to call front desk twice to get a quiet place. Over all, not recommended. "
