It is quiet, and the view of the volcano crater from the rooms is outstanding. There are two cute souvenir shops and two places where you can eat and have drinks. "We loved staying at Volcano House! The property is beautiful and relaxing. It’s close enough to Hilo and ideally located right next to the Volcano national park. On Sunday the 20th we got an alert for Kīlauea episode 29 and quickly went to the lookout. We beat the crowds and watched the eruption, it was awesome. I still can’t believe how lucky we were to see it. I highly recommend staying here, the house is outstanding."
