Ozarks Adventure Lodging, Glamping

10/10 Excellent

"I'd really be nit picking if I had anything negative to say about our stay (,if the owner wanted to really know). This type of setting may or may not be for you but for our family of 4 that includes 2 little ones, the dwelling was very accommodating including too many creature comforts! For my wife who would otherwise have refused to do any kind of camping due to hygiene, says we should come back. I would agree that I would indeed in the future. Our only regret was that we didn't book this trip after some more rain and cooler temperatures to enjoy to fall foliage. We didn't really have a good opportunity to see many of the stars considering the moon was full illumination, but it's also hard to compete with a place like Big Bend national park.I could go on and on about how great of an experience it was for us."

"BOOK THIS CABIN!!! Get ready y’all, your coming to stay at your off-grid grandmas cabin. It’s clean, it’s up to date, beautiful, with coffee and snacks. Plus…it comes with your very own VRBO pup! We loved the chickens and the goats that wander around. Well stocked and very clean. This is a dream place for an after hike crash. The hammock is awesome for airing out those feet while you take in night sky. Enjoy this spot! I know we’ll be back! Absolutely awesome!"

Waterfall Wilderness Retreat Bordering the Ozark National Forest

"Having rented many VRBO properties over many years, I have to say this cabin and property are one of, if not the best, as well as unique places, my wife and I have ever stayed! The cabin itself is also amazingly clean for a rental property, and the craftsman ship of the exterior area to blend into the surrounding area is without a doubt unapparelled! Then there is the falls, or actually two main falls and a cascading drainage below. We were very fortunate to have rain occur the first night and part of the next day bringing the main waterfall up and causing an "overshot" to the pool below that was mesmerizing! It was very hard to leave and explore the area as it was just so unique there! I will say that we made it to "Alum cove natural bridge recreation area", which was also an unbelievable geological area! If you go there be sure to hike the one-to-one-and-a-half-mile hike which takes you past the main natural arch to an area that is punctuated with smaller arches and overhangs in a bluff ridge along the trail! While we saw several other family's while we were there walking to the Arch, no one hiked the entire trail....and I promise, you won't be disappointed. We definitely hope to return in the spring to stay again! Once again, thanks Doug and Amanda for having this unique and interesting property available to enjoy!"

"We arrived on a rainy wednesday, in a small suv. I somehow missed the memo that this location is way off the beaten path. We arrived to an unpaved road where we proceeded to go up and up. After about 25. Minutes up, tires sliding in gravel , no cell or gps signal we were about to give up, turn around and call it a loss. Then God sent the man in the red truck! He gave us confidence to proceed and moments later we arrived at the most beautiful breathtaking cabin! The host poured her heart into this place! It has everything you need, beautiful views! We are already planning our next (more prepared) mountain trip! 10/10!!!"

"Great little cabin! Stocked with the essentials. Pretty creek in front and super quiet area. Check in was easy. It is pretty remote but directions were easy to follow. Would LOVE to stay again!"
