Overall, the property was okay and, for the most part, matched what I expected based on the information available when I booked. I knew there would be little to no entertainment, limited dining hours, and no beach access, so those things did not come as a surprise. I actually appreciated the cleanliness of the property and the quiet, peaceful surroundings, which made it a nice place to relax and disconnect. Unfortunately, the food was my biggest disappointment. I read several reviews describing the food as excellent, so I had fairly high expectations. Sadly, my experience was very different. The food options were not only limited, but many of the meals were processed rather than fresh or thoughtfully prepared. They ran out of alot of items often. I was hoping for more variety, fresher ingredients, and perhaps more local or dishes that would make the dining experience memorable. Instead, the meals were fairly basic, and there wasn't a single meal that truly impressed or “wowed” us. However, the staff was very friendly and did what they could to accommodate. I would recommend renting a car to get around & to nearby beaches. There was a delicious restaurant at Half Moon Bay Beach but the beach was not swimmable! I would not recommend this place for those who cannot walk much. There were way too many stairs. With improvements to the quality, freshness, variety, and availability of the food, I believe the property could offer a much more enjoyable overall guest experience.
