"Only stayed one night so didn’t spend much time in the hotel but the bed was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. I would probably advise going early for breakfast if you are having it as things become a bit limited if you go later but what was available was very nice."

The room was small but very clean and had sufficient closet space.
Even though the room was facing the street it was very quiet. For breakfast you could choose several hot options and there were a selection of cereals, yogurts, fruits and juices. The food quality was excellent. Location was perfect as it was very close to the beach, sea walks, bars and restaurants. Even a grocery store was just a few doors down. Will definitely stay there again when I next visit Tynemouth.

Very friendly. We were shown to our rooms by the landlord of the pub. It was Sunday night, very quiet. Parking out front. Really nice location with a cute harbour.

This hotel was just mins walk away to the beach of Whitley Bay. It's an older hotel and a very good price. Nothing fancy but clean, quiet and plenty of shopping near by. Staff was very nice and friendly. It was just a 1 night stay to enjoy the relaxing sea rather than a busy city and long my journey up the coast line of England to Bamburgh Castle.

I have been staying at the Lemonfield for over 30 years through a few different owners. Each owner has made updates and rooms are now en-suite. One of the best features was the breakfast, but this now has a charge and I decided not to try it. The location is great, close to the sea( some rooms having a view) with local shops, pubs and cafes all within walking distance.
