"Close enough to airport"
Swift check in. Room clean and functional beds excellent had a good nights sleep. Only gave a 3 for comfort; because the room was very hot and we were unable to turn the radiator down or off. Other than that very good value for money. Will stay there next time we fly out of Newcastle.

"Nice hotel central for r I ad rail and air travel."
Although the room and the staff were very good I had to mark down due to there being a £6 a night charge for parking. When I queried this I was told it was because people had in the past parked up and then gone on holiday. As I was visiting from Guernsey, was driving a car with Guernsey plates and was only booked in for 2 nights it should have been obvious that was not likely to happen in this case. I do not agree that all guests should be penalised in this manner unless these charges are clearly shown at the time of booking.

"Coveniently Situated"
The hotel is just off the A1 and is an excellent place to stop off if journeying either north or south. A car is essential as there is little public transport. Hotel staff were welcoming, rooms were large and well looked after and beds were comfortable. We had two rooms - one had a modern refurbished bathroom. When we stayed the gym/pool was being refurbished but looks good. Breakfast is good and the public spaces are open and comfortable. As well as access to the A1 the hotel is convenient for Newcastle, the coast, and the lovely Northumberland country side to the west and north.

"Average accomodations"
The innkeeper was very nice and helpful. He even let us leave our luggage after we checked out so we could go sightseeing. The room was average but showed evidence of recent refurbishing.
