"I’ve stayed at the Line multiple times and it’s been my go to choice for stays in DC but this latest stay was the worst. I was called on the day I was to check in that my reservation for May that I made in January had been cancelled. When I asked why, they said because the hotel was overbooked and my card declined the hotel charge. Why would a hotel be charging random cards without authorization or notification not even an hour after check in? I had to work with Expedia to get this rectified but when I arrived at the hotel (a 5 hr drive later) the front desk staff still believed my reservation was cancelled. I, then, again had to show them that was not the case. The rooms are great because they are large but the quality has gone down, shower doors don’t close- we asked for extra blankets after our toddler got sick around 1030pm- and they weren’t able to give us anything until the morning. When you call room service or the front desk, you have to call multiple times to even get a response. The hotel is pricey but the service was not worth the price at all."

"We loved our stay at The Hamilton Hotel in D.C. it was a block and a half from the metro which made transport from and to the airport so convenient. The location also allowed us to walk all the wonderful sights of D.C. The hotel was clean, the hotel staff were friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, and we loved the restaurant located in the hotel where we would go after a long day and enjoy a bottle of wine! We will definitely stay here again!"

"Have stayed at The Lyle twice - had the upgraded room first time, not the second. Would highly recommend upgrading - dramatically more space. Love the hotel - super clean, attentive staff, great location. Thought the restaurant was awesome - had three delicious meals there over our stay; drinks at the bar were also great. Would highly recommend!"

"Great stay, rooms and all of hotel were exceptionally clean. Location good, 10 minutes walk to metro station. Lots of coffee shops/restaurants within walking distance. Only small minus were the beds are very firm ….. but then that is a personal preference. Staff very helpful and kept our cases so we could explore on our last day before our flight home. Will stay again if we are in the area ."
