Room was fine, beds comfortable, Dennys on site for meals. Small Pool very busy. Location convenient for city access.

Access to the facilities was scarce, no one is in gym yet u need to go sign up. Same as laundry, annoying, other than that decent

The Varscona is a lovely older hotel in a fantastic location. It’s quiet, well-located, and had comfy beds and clean rooms.

The hotel rooms are extremely outdated and the buildings could do with some TLC. it is very pricey for what you get. The bathroom in our first room was so small you could barely turn around in it. The room was like one you would get in a motel. It is quite a way from the townsite of Jasper so you really need a car. The buffet breakfast wasn’t great as a lot of the dishes were empty. They were very slow at filling them up. Out of all the Fairmont I’ve stayed in around the world this was the worst!!! They seem to be riding on the Fairmont name. I wouldn’t stay there again!! Paying nearly $1000 a night for what is essentially a motel room is disgusting. The valet staff were very friendly and helpful and the scenery is lovely.

I really enjoyed being up on the 6th floor with the balcony. Must say overall…hotel and room are very clean and well looked after.
