"This is a basic hotel in a terrific location. Rooms are tiny; ours with a king bed had barely enough room to walk around the bed. Room amenities are fine - K-cup type coffeemaker, mini refrigerator, ice bucket. Extremely clean. Housekeeping service every day without asking or paying extra. Staff were friendly and professional. Nice little breakfast with an egg dish, sausage/bacon, and make-your-own waffles every day. We have stayed here twice and will certainly stay here again when we return to the Park Slope neighborhood. Luxury it is not but a great bargain by Brooklyn standards. Highly recommended."

"I had reserved an accessible room for my mother but it was not available. The hotel gave us a room with walk-in shower which was manageable for her knee but the shower water leaked to create a big pool on the floor. My room had a bath tub but the drain plug was broken so it barely held bath water."

"The staff was very friendly and the location was good. The only issue was our family was booked on two different floors (5 floors apart) and with only one operating elevator the first day of our stay it made it difficult, with the long wait times and crowded elevator being shared between 20 floors. Using the stairs helped , but this may be an issue for some."

"The Public is situated in a great location near China Town. Little Italy, and SoHo. It’s a pretty fast cab ride to Midtown and downtown. I didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant because it was closed. The café was pretty good with breakfast food, fresh juice, and coffee. Housekeeping was very accommodating and the room was clean and orderly. There are things in the room that are comfortable for example thats a bit awkward, for example, there was no place to hang a towel in the bathroom area, no Kleenex, and no hairdryer, so I had to request these items. There are no hooks so you have to place it somewhere close to the shower, which is very tiny. The design is very much like the Edition hotel near Times Square, which I’ve stayed at several times and I enjoy because there is an amazing restaurant and bars. It’s very minimalist design. The table could use one more chair and better quality seating/chairs. I did not get a chance to sample the rooftop bar, but I will have to do that on my next journey or the club for that matter. The front desk staff was very helpful in anything that I needed. Andy, the front desk manager was also very accommodating. I typically stay in upscale properties in Midtown and this hotel really held its own against bigger brands that are more luxurious. It has a younger vibe, which was fine. Overall, a very comfortable stay."

"The hotel is very convenient to the cruise port—about a 5 minute walk. Walking is quicker than a cab because of the traffic pattern. Lots of good eating options in the neighborhood. Hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff is helpful and friendly. The only complaint is their weird breakfast set-up: rather than the usual buffet option, they offer a one-size-fits-all bagged breakfast. "
