"The home was tucked away in the side of the mountain and across from a beautiful trial. Semi close to town, the trolly was a life saver for the walk back to the home, as it is an uphill walk back. A few house rules that seemed a little over the top ( no shoes on the hardwood, no eating in any bedrooms, no smoking of any kind anywhere on the property-I'm not a smoker but my spouse enjoys a cigar in the evenings) all in all it was a much needed relaxing stay during our RV trip."

"Everything about The Overlook was perfect! We were in town for our oldest grandson’s high school graduation and a mini-family reunion. The house was spotless when we arrived with everything we needed. The kitchen was open with a large table for meals and family card games, there was plenty of seating in the upstairs living room and basement family room. "Our family stayed here for 4 nights while exploring the surrounding area. The location was just what we needed for visiting Mt. Rushmore, Deadwood, Custer State Park and an assortment of other places. From the time we walked through the door it felt welcoming and homelike. We played games at the kitchen table, roasted hot dogs and s’mores over the fire pit and grandchildren, who had never tasted fresh eggs, announced they never wanted store bought eggs again!😆 A good time was had by all. "We had a fantastic time at this beautiful home. We had a group of 7 adults and 7 kids, we felt so comfortable in this cabin! The basement is so great for kids of all ages, there are great sleeping spaces for a group this size! This cabin has it all, some of us didn’t go explore the town as the cabin and beautiful scenery with falling snow was more than enough!! Would definitely recommend, and book again!"
