"Breakfast is extra and isn’t better than the free ones at most holiday inns. The pool has a poo incident. Unsure if they closed it long enough for a proper clean or not but we didn’t revisit after that incident. "

"We had no cleaning of the room. We stayed 2 nights and the bed was not made, no new set of towels as requested, no garbage emptied. We addressed the issue with the front desk man and not only did not help to remedy the situation, he also was very condescending and did not care at all. Very rude man. Then, he called our room at 3:00 am in the morning in the middle of the night. It was very obvious it was done on purpose to disrupt the sleep. When we picked up the phone he asked us if we had any delivery from Popeyes. Ridiculous. He knew we never ordered anything and there was no delivery happening at that time anyway. Very disturbing to see a staff member acting this way. "

"I've stayed at Donald Gordon Hotel and Conference Centre on a semi-regular basis over the last 8 months, and I always look forward to my stay. The rooms are immaculate in cleanliness; the beds are large and comfy, and the linen and towels are in fine condition. I especially appreciated the attentive staff who were both professional and warm. Upon arrival, I always got a nice greeting from Evan, and other staff members, including Michael, were always quick to see that I had everything necessary for a great stay. One of my most consistent requests - for an electric kettle in my room - was graciously accommodated to the point where the kettle was waiting for me, in my room, even before I checked in. Though I'm not a regular breakfast person, and missed this meal on most occasions, I was often able to grab a healthy bite on my way out: a piece of fruit suited me just fine, but the hot breakfast is a real selling point for this hotel, and should not be missed."

"Simple but clean "

"Hotel is a little older. Mini fridge ‘hummed’, t.v. took a few minutes to get to work properly, had an issue with a smoke detector, had to adjust the toilet so the water would stop running. I found it odd that the coffee maker & accessories were located in the washroom. I went to move these out of washroom but coffee machine was plugged in through the bathroom counter. Bed was comfortable. Room & hotel were clean. The complimentary breakfast was great! The dining area was beautiful. There was a good selection of food/ drinks to choose from & nicely laid out. Food was very good. Staff in dining area were wonderful, friendly, helpful. Front desk staff were friendly. "

"The rooms and bathroom are a little small by today’s standards but are very clean and have a beautiful view. The complementary water in the rooms and free extra bottles at the front desk are a very nice touch. Will at the lobby bar is great and attentive. We also had an amazing dinner at Aqua Terra served by a very good waitress named Sue. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay. "

"Underground garage construction woke me in the morning. So loud that we could not enjoy breakfast in the lobby restaurant. "
