"Great place to take Dog. Fun for families! "
We really wanted to travel with our dog this summer, but options were really limited. This "resort" was a gem for us. Exactly what we wanted; great, large outdoor pool, indoor pool, breakfast included, wifi for the tween, etc. No it is not a "resort" like a 5 star resort, but there was clearly a lot of effort on the owner's part to make it very family friendly, with a bocci ball court, gazebos through out the property, a serenity garden inside, etc. Some units offered a lot of privacy and gave the feel almost more of a cottage stay. However by far our fave part was the incredible green space for the dog to enjoy and just the general vibe of this being a true dog friendly spot. I also spoke with the owner a few times during our stay and she was wonderful to deal with. We love supporting the small business owner over the main hotel brands. We would def recommend this hotel to others esp large groups, or those seeking a quiet get away as due to the layout of the rooms, you really could be away from others if desired. If you want to take your dog, this is your place. We did travel to other hotels in this area to compare and would never stay anywhere else but Colonial.

It was a comfortable easy to find place to stay. Very quiet and clean. No issues to complain about. Wish the restaurant was open in the evening on the weekend to have dinner but was not and had to go into town to find something to eat. Otherwise well worth the money.

"It's okay"
The room was apparently non smoking, but we could smell smoke residue and cleaning products. The front desk changed our room and greatly appreciated.

"Great location, stylish rooms, not the best sleep"
We love staying near the Kingston waterfront! We had a harbour view room, which was very stylish/up-to-date with a very nice kitchenette and seemingly new bathroom. The "hot and cold" breakfast was also well above average. The only issue, for both my wife and I, was the sleep. There was plenty of extra pillows, but they all seemed to be the same firmness and thickness, which was much different from what we were used to (at some hotels, the extra pillows provide a variety). The mattress comforter was held on by elastic loops on the corners, apparently for ease of changing versus the usual method, and kept slipping off. The AC was much louder than typical and came on frequently. Also, a green light on the fire alarm blinked continuously and sporadically (i.e., with no regular pattern - just bursts of blinking). I ultimately slept well after a while and would stay again. I had a great stay, overall. My wife, on the other hand, complained endlessly that she was kept awake

"Acceptable, a little expensive."
It was a nice stay, I thought it to be a little expensive for a 2.5 star without breakfast. However, it was clean (except for a few bugs in the bathroom).

"Nice clean modern room"
My second stay at Motel 6 was better than the first. Bed was clean all around, even underneath the mattress. Room is well kept and I like the new modern look of Kingston Motel 6. I would stay here again.
