"Entire property was run down including the rooms. Was like being in a hotel from the 1980’s. Entire place smelt like smoke, hot tub had hair and clumps of something floating around, pool water was very low and stains all over the hallway carpets. Felt like an incredibly unsafe area especially for a solo traveller as evidenced by the drug users coming into the hotel lobby to use the ATM. “Breakfast” option, was very disappointing. As someone who has travelled extensively, this is easily the worst property I’ve ever stayed at. Wish I turned around the second I laid eyes on the hotel."

"Good hotel, very reasonably priced, close to the university of Manitoba and Superstore. To improve: blinds are definitely not blackout, which is challenging in spring when the sun is up early, and when your window faces the parking lot with extremely bright floodlights. Unfortunately it was raining two nights and there was a dripping sound outside the window that was so loud it sounded like someone was popping microwave popcorn in the next room. Would be nice to have a kettle and iron in the room; I did borrow one from the front desk and the ironing board was a bit slanted to one side. Would also be nice to have utensils (fork knife and spoon) and some decaf coffee and tea in the rooms. Hotel is very quiet at night; no problem with noisy neighbours. Overall great value for the money."

"The room was well equipped with a mini fridge and microwave. I wish they had another mirror somewhere on the wall of the room so that one person can get ready( such as doing hair and make up) when the other person is in the bathroom. The hotel is undergoing renovations till August, but didn't affect us much. The pool was closed due to unexpected circumstances. All staff were pleasant and responded promptly to our requests."

"My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Stay549. It feels like home! Val was super nice and friendly when she checked us in. Everybody there was very helpful. When the coffee machine broke, they quickly replaced with a brand new one. Thank you…my husband and I need our coffee to start the day 😁 We will definitely come back when we are heading back West."
