![Have been driving across the country for over a week now and managed to rest up a bit and visit downtown Chicago. Spent the day looking for this iconic piece and finally found it. The Chicago Theatre was built in 1921 and was originally named the Balaban and Katz Chicago Theatre. This building has become the unofficial landmark for Chicago representing the rich arts and music culture Chicago is known for. Room was clean, staff was so polite and kind and very helpful. We took our 3 year old daughter with us and they were kind to her and welcoming! (That means a lot - not all hotels are welcoming to small children.) they made sure to open the doors for us each time we came in with our stroller. We will absolutely be back to the Riu in Chicago! 10/10
