Orangewood Inn & Suites Midtown

"Breakfast was great! Loved the Texas shaped waffles. The room was clean, beds were comfortable. The location was good - only about a 15 minute drive to downtown Austin. The only negatives: (1) a very strong scent of industrial cleaning solution - like they had just shampooed the carpets - was present the entire stay; and (2) location right near I-35 was noisy at times when we were trying to sleep - heard police/fire/ambulance sirens. Note also that there is road construction going on right in front of the hotel. But it was overall a good place to stay and great value for the money - was under $100 a night at the time when we stayed, which was during ACL music fest weekend. Much cheaper than all other options."

"The Omni in Austin was a great choice. Location was excellent for us to get around in. The room was clean and a good size. The day staff is super helpful and friendly. Valet service was great, super courteous. The only thing that was off during our stay was check in. Our flight was delayed 2.5hrs so we got in later than we were scheduled. The night shift was not as friendly or inviting. It was 3:30am and we just wanted that Texas hospitality we have heard of. Night crew has things to learn from day crew. Overall though it was a great stay!"
