"Nice, clean motel room. Room was large and tastefully decorated. It had a microwave and a small hotel-sized refrigerator and an ice machine outside by the office. Maid brought fresh towels and emptied the trash daily but did not clean the room (you can opt out of this service). It was very quiet and was well outside the heavy tourist traffic found in Bar Harbor. Assigned parking (a single parking slot) is provided right outside the door. "The facilities were clean & updated. Very close to Acadia National Park entrance & downtown Bar Harbor. This was my first time using VRBO & was unfamiliar with trying to communicate with host but he did answer…the check in was confusing because there was no one in the office at all during our stay & had to figure out how to get into the room. Our family was over all very satisfied with this hotel. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent place to stay."

"If you pull into this place, you will likely think you made a mistake. It is old, it appears run down, it needs painting.It needs power washing. The grounds need better care. None of that really mattered to me, My room was exceptionally clean, quiet, and comfortable. I tipped the housekeeper more than I usually do. Breakfast was a big disappointment in that just about everything was packaged.But when you consider what I paid, I didn't expect a whole lot more. Would I stay here again? YES!"

"The office building in front of the hotel was nice with a new deck. The hotel is older & showing a little wear with some rustiness on the outside of the door to our unit. The king room we had on the 1st floor was small but the bed was comfortable. The sink is outside the toilet/shower room and needs counter space around it. There was nowhere to put any toiletries etc. One side of the bed didn’t have a plug for the lamp. The water view was nice with chairs/picnic tables to sit on. The hotel is conveniently located just far enough from the congestion of Bar Harbor. We loved the food at Gateway Lunts Lobster Pound just down the street."

"Our room was a King room next to the office. It was very clean, the staff was friendly. We enjoyed the walk from our hotel to downtown. If you are planning on walking from the hotel to the harbor and have any mobility issues, please note it is a bit of walk and should plan accordingly. The snacks, water and fresh coffee in the office was very convenient. Not to mention the coffee was really good. Even though there was not a "breakfast", there was fruit, oatmeal and snack bars available at all times along with the water and coffee. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend."
