"Rooms are new, lobby and breakfast area are large, clean and well appointed. AC was a little noisy at night in room 403, but shower and hot water are great. Well located, near restaurants, main street and close to the U of SC (not walking distance).Highly recommend this Fairfield property."

Cambria Hotel Columbia Downtown The Vista

"The greatest second option ever. My family had our 80th* Family Reunion and I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it due to job commitments. Fortunately I was able to make it; however, the hotel I was supposed to stay at was booked. Frustrated I began looking around the area and I came across the Cambria. I looked at Cambria based off the pictures from the website, only to look better in person. From the time we walked in the front staff was great. The young lady at the front named Kayla was wonderful. There was another young lady helping someone else and she was just as pleasant, based off what I could hear. I went to my room to put my things away and the room was just what I needed. Stocked coffee bar, oversized shower, a real couch, true blackout curtains, and I could set the temperature as cool as I wanted in that hot SC weather. I went back to the host hotel that the family was staying at bragging about all the amenities I had. They had a snack bar and pop machines, while I had a fully stocked bar and restaurant. Long story short, several of my family members ended up having drinks with me at the bar. I would chose the Cambria 10 times out 10. My only negative was the unexpected valet charge which really wasn’t that bad. I would chose the Cambria in any city, anytime. Everything was Alright, and by alright I mean ALL Right. I will be back."

"Great location. Across the street from the State Capital building close to everything in the heart of downtown. As with everything in a downtown area, parking is limited to a spot you can find on the street otherwise it’s valet ($33) for ya. Room was great. Modern updates and stylish. Cool bar downstairs and the rooftop bar on the 12th floor offers amazing views of all of Columbia. Bring your wallet though…I had an Old Fashioned with Basil Hayden and then a double Buffalo Trace on the rocks…$66. 2 drinks essentially $33 each. Insanity. Check in staff was ok. Seemed more interested in conversing with each other more so than me standing in front of them. Got the job done though, got my key and finally able to get to my room. I would stay again."

"The bathroom door did not lock, but everything else was perfect! The room was very spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable. A lot of breakfast options. The staff were kind, courteous and helpful whenever I needed them. Definitely recommend for families."
