The restaurant for breakfast did not have enough wait staff. I felt sorry for the server as she was the only one and several tables were not very patient. I think it would help to have more breakfast wait staff on Friday mornings. Everyone is checking out and it was fairly busy.
The valet it kind of a challenge to use with having to use the app for everything. The valet staff was helpful, but still kind of inconvenient to only be able to get your car with the app.

Saint Kate fell significantly short of what we expected from an approximately $860 2-night stay at a 4-star hotel.
The most serious issue was discovering that the bed had visibly soiled linens upon check-in, which my child unknowingly slept in overnight. We arrived at night & only noticed the sheets the next day in better lighting
When I raised the linen issue, I was told, “I’m not going to bother my GM who just had their first grandkid over a sheet,” among other comments. Given that this involved a sanitation concern, the response felt dismissive and inappropriate.
Other issues
- hair left in the sink after housekeeping, another hair (not from of our party)on the bathroom counter,
- discarded candy/wrapper from a prior guest left in room
- no shower gel mid-shower. After calling & being told a replacement would be sent immediately, nothing arrived for ~ 25 min, so I found one myself on a housekeeping cart. The hotel’s replacement arrived ~ 45 min after my call.
- a non-working safe
-no trash can in the main room until requested
-no water replenished after housekeeping
- housekeeping knocked twice in the AM day of checkout, despite a 12pm checkout
The hotel initially offered a $50 credit & ultimately comped the cheaper second night (~$213). I requested the affected 1st night be credited instead, but were told no.
Being a frequent traveler, my expectations are reasonable. Clean linens, a properly inspected room, & professional handling of concerns are basic expectations

"This hotel is in a good location with many things within walking distance. The attached parking deck was convenient. The open lobby going up 18 floors with glass elevators was spectacular. Room was clean and staff was friendly. Would recommend this hotel."
