8.8/10 Excellent! (228 reviews)
For such level of the hotel, it is over-priced: the room furniture needs maintenance, the water in shower is warm but not hut and always stucks in the bathroom. The breakfast was good, but my daughter came 1 hour before the breakfast closed and asked for pancakes which were available. The stuff lied to her there were no pancakes, and after she proved herself with a photo taken by me, they offered her 8 pancakes as an exclusion. Really?… They also gave me not a room that I booked and that was on photos: a family room with a wall that divides it into 2 different rooms, with a working desk. Instead, we had a triple room with no working desk. I asked to change the room because my kids are teenagers and it was very inconvenient to us. They agreed, and thank you for that, but the moving process was long and unprofessional: we had to leave the room and wait for 1 hour at the hotel lobby before we could access the room that I booked. In general, I don’t recommend this hotel. There are more nicer hotels around at the same price.

9/10 Wonderful! (221 reviews)
My experience fell well short of what I expect from a five-star hotel. While some staff were genuinely lovely, service was inconsistent, slow, and often required repeated follow-up. More seriously, I left my AirPods Pro in my room while hiking Machu Picchu, and they were gone when I returned. Find My showed them outside the hotel, and to their credit, staff accompanied me to try to locate them. Police became involved, and I ultimately spent close to four hours over two days searching and filing a police report — a significant amount of a three-night stay. What disappointed me most was management's response. Guest relations repeatedly told me management would do something, but at checkout, I was told nothing would be done because there was no concrete proof the AirPods were taken from the hotel. The response felt entirely dismissive. A handwritten note, or small gesture would have shown empathy. Problems happen; five-star service is defined by how they are handled. Inkaterra's service was nowhere near the standard I've experienced at St. Regis or Palacio del Inka in Cusco. Machu Picchu was magical; unfortunately, my experience with Inkaterra was not.

We stayed here for 4 nights total. We had a great experience. Loved the hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped us carry our luggage to the room. We loved the room and restroom set up, the restroom seemed modern. The view from where they served breakfast was incredible! The breakfast options were good. I really enjoyed the teas they had in their lobby for guests. Would definitely stay here again in the future! Loved how close it was to most things.

Lovely, clean property. Great breakfast. My room was small and a little noisy but thankfully it didn't affect my sleep at all. The bed was very comfy. I appreciated that they held onto my bags after checkout and were willing to help with airport transfer.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything exceeded our expectations. A special thank you to Nelson, the concierge, who went above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable. His kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail were exceptional. We would also like to thank to the bartender and everyone that have make the warm hospitality, friendly service, and genuine care made us feel incredibly welcome. The hotel itself is beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the service is truly world-class. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will cherish the memories from our stay.
