Alcedis gave us the option of late check out for one room due to hotel not being completely full and even walked my husband to ticket station, waited for him and made sure he got the correct bus tickets. Excellent staff and great value for this property. Easy access to the train station and they send someone to pick you up when you first arrive. The staff and service were all amazing and made sure our stay was very comfortable. We had a river view room which was spectacular. The rooms were great and I particularly loved the bathroom! We loved opening the windowing and hearing the roar of the river. Everyone was so helpful and super friendly. The room was clean but a little worn in places, nothing to complain about. River view room is awesome but, with the river in full flow, it’s loud, didn’t stop us from sleeping though. Breakfast was good, decent selection and a cooked to order omelette was excellent. Easy walk from the train station and close to the bus stop for Machu Picchu. Maylin in particular was super friendly, patient, and always willing to help when we needed directions or had questions getting around. She made everything a lot easier. There was also a man who helped us with our bags as soon as we got off the train. He was incredibly welcoming and set a really good first impression for the hotel. The room was comfortable and the location was great. A beautiful view of the river running along the rear of the hotel greeted us from our room. The only thing I wished we had known ahead of time is that if you turn the thermostat all the way down, it can freeze up when it’s humid and cause a big leak when it melts. Not a huge deal, but it would’ve been nice to get a heads-up.
