"Our host greeted us when we arrived and made us feel at home. Our room was beautiful and had a nice private deck for star gazing. The kitchen was shared but available for everyone who was staying in the bed and breakfast. There were fresh vegetables and salads available from the garden that could be purchased. The sitting area had lots of books if someone needed reading material and also provided items to purchase from local farms around the area. All of these items were available to be sampled in the kitchen as well. We walked a couple of houses down and met the beekeeper and shopped in their craft and honey product store which was lovely. Our host provided suggestions of where we could find the Gros Morne coffee roasters so we had a great visit with them and were able to purchase some coffee beans to bring back with us. We learned so much from the owners. The breakfast that was prepared for us in the morning was delicious and Ingrid taught us some Newfoundland sayings while we ate. We had a great stay, will definitely recommend to others and look forward to returning. "

"Helpful check in guide provided, easy to use and well laid out kitchen. Lovely spot. Downstairs shower has an elevated showerhead, which was very appreciated by the tall members of our group!Lots of warblers in the forest around the home, if you’re a birder - even a couple of rare ones during the breeding season! Very lucky"

"A lovely house that housed our 2 famalies brilliantly. Stunning location with a lovely hot tub. Great base for exploring the west coast and Gros Morne park. Cornerbrook and Passedena both near by with supermarkets and restaurants etc. the house was so quiet and we heard many birds and wildlife - would highly recommend "

"We flew into Deer Lake and stayed at this hotel for one night prior to carrying on to Gros Morne. This hotel was a pleasant surprise! The beds were so comfortable, the pillows were perfect! It was quiet even with our room across from the elevator. The breakfast in the morning was complimentary and had a lot of options! But the freshly baked cookies were definitely our favourites! They were putting in new carpets in the hallways, but the work finished at a respectable time so didn’t affect our stay. My kids loved the pool and slide. Definitely wish all Holiday Inns were like this one!!"
